Production Manager


Purpose of the role:
The Production Manager will be responsible for the management of all processes and deliverables throughout the production as well as ensuring that the departments’ outputs are aligned with the production schedule. They will be working closely with the Line Producer, Production team and the client in translating the script and the Director’s vision into a great animation show.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Line Producer and Production Coordinator(s)
  • Oversee and be responsible for departmental schedules, supporting and collaborating with the Production Coordinator(s)
  • Supervise and motivate the production team, highlighting any concerns to the Line Producer and HR if necessary
  • Create & distribute weekly production reports to studio management and clients when needed
  • Supervise and delegate responsibilities to the assigned departments’ Supervisors, Coordinators and Assistants
  • Manage/Track the artists’ quotas and deadlines
  • Manage/Track approvals and deliveries to clients and broadcasters
  • Set up and manage the relevant production database tracking and make sure database standards are met by all crew
  • Support the Line Producer in the candidate selection process and performance management
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to the team as required

The ideal candidate would have:

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • An understanding of the 2D animation production pipeline, knowledge of file formats and asset management
  • Ability to create breakdowns from scripts
  • Ability to communicate with clients, co-production partners, service providers as well as the crew at the studio in a friendly, likeable and professional manner
  • Ability to express themselves clearly in person and in writing, both in numbers, words and images
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a part of a team
  • Take direction and to take initiative
  • Ability to work under schedules and deadlines
  • We look for a readiness to lead a team combined with the focus to also execute the smallest details

Production Coordinator

Purpose of the role:
The Production Coordinator will play an important part in our overall production process. They will work closely with the Line Producer and the Production team as well as the Creatives. They will coordinate the day-to-day tasks of assigned production departments in conjunction with the Production Manager. 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the departmental scheduling as needed
  • Coordinate the day-to-day tasks of the assigned department(s)
  • Maintain close communication with crew regarding their tasks and deadlines
  • Liaise with clients on asset delivery and weekly launch meetings, updating crew and production management team on any updates prior to launch
  • Populate assets and data into Shotgrid or another assigned database if needed
  • Support Production Assistant(s) with their duties as production requires 
  • Work closely with the Production Manager, Line Producer and Department Supervisors

The ideal candidate would have:

  • A minimum of 2 years animation series work in a fast-paced production department is desired
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills 
  • Attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn
  • Positive can-do attitude
  • Strong knowledge of Google Workspace, knowledge in Microsoft softwares are considered as a plus 
  • Previous working knowledge of Shotgrid is appreciated but other asset tracking systems are seemed as a plus
  • Interest in creative and production overall
  • Problem solver
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
