Scene Setup Artist – Super Duper Bunny League

Join the Gigglebug crew for Super Duper Bunny League!

The 52×11 minute 2D animated series for Nickelodeon US combines big superhero action with silly cartoony comedy. The concept is based on the brilliant work of comic artist and author Jamie Smart. 

We are looking for 1-2 Scene Setup artists to join our team. At the Gigglebug Studio, you would be part of a friendly and tightly knit team, working in collaboration with the Directors, other Supervisors and a group of excellent Artists. 

Purpose of the role

As a Scene Set-up Artist you will be responsible for the first step in organizing scenes and including all assets necessary for each scene to move forward into production. You will work closely with the Production Manager and the Animation team.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up Harmony scene templates, and adjust the necessary settings to identify each individual scene by number, length, render settings and other identifying qualities
  • Making sure assets such as characters, BGs, props and FXs are well-imported and technically safe for animation
  • Confirm that all elements required in the scene are present and accounted for
  • Adjust camera movements and prepare them for comp
  • Make any necessary adjustments to scene elements to prepare them for animation and compositing
  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure all production requirements are met
  • Anticipate potential needs and issues that the compositing department may encounter
  • Prepare episode playlist for Director and Animation Director’s reviews

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Toon Boom Harmony software is required
  • Experience in position rigs and props using Z depth
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of working with node system
  • Understanding of Parallax and animating camera movement
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Previous experience in a studio production pipeline is preferred
  • Love for cartoons

2 – 12 months
